Adentan Gets Court Complex

The Adentan Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Benjamin Angenu has disclosed that a court complex will be constructed in the municipality.

The MCE made the disclosure at an end-of-year meeting with the traditional authorities in the municipality at the Assembly’s conference room over the weekend.

Mr. Angenu explained that the project, which is expected to start early next year at Frafraha and would be completed in six months’ time, would comprise a magistrate court and two circuit courts (A and B), adding that provision would be made for the construction of other higher courts.

The MCE said with the construction of the courts, pressure would ease on the current magistrate court, which was constructed about seven months ago.

Explaining further, the MCE said that the police would also discharge their duties effectively to protect the people, adding that the assembly would continue to provide them with resources to enhance their operations.

He mentioned that work on the assembly’s only Community Senior High School (SHS) was on course and would be ready in September 2016.

Mr. Angenu was happy that the polyclinic, which is located at Ogbojo, would start operations by the second half of 2016, adding that the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service have asked the assembly to put up certain facilities.

He particularly commended the chiefs of Ogbojo, Frafraha, Nmai Djor and queen mother of Frafraha, Nii Torgbor Obodai, Nii Okpelor Sowah Ablorh and Naa Atswei Osantu Okpoti respectively for donating tracts of land to the Assembly for its development projects.

While congratulating the Assembly for its achievements, the chief of Ogbojo, Nii Torgbor Obodai assured the assembly of their support in the coming years.

He urged the assembly to always use lands that have been donated for the intended purposes, adding that this would motivate them to release more lands in future.
