Accra Girls Promote Peace With Nii Funny

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Accra Girls’ Senior High School will this Saturday, January 30, host some twenty or more senior high schools within the Greater Accra Region at a funfair event under the theme, “A Peaceful Ghana: The Role of the Ghanaian Student.”

The event, dubbed ‘Impetus’, has two segments that will first have resource persons engage the students in an interactive discussion on the theme and then a mega entertainment and funfair segment  with fast rising musician Nii Funny as the headline act.

Organisers say all arrangements for Saturday’s show have been made and it is anticipated to be the biggest entertainment cum variety show to have been organised by the school’s SRC.

Nii Funny of ‘Yooko Ebreaki Me’ fame confirmed his participation to NEWS-ONE: “I would be there for them on Saturday and I would be performing with the G-3 dancers. My management has called off all other events because of this Accra Girls’ gig and I am taking the invitation very seriously because I am happy to see students promote a peaceful Ghana.”

“I can assure all the invited schools that we would have a lot of fun on Saturday and they won’t be disappointed they attended,” Nii Funny added.

Other senior high schools invited to Saturday’s show include St Thomas Aquinas, St Mary’s, Presbyterian Boys, Labone, Armed Forces, Chemu, St John’s Grammar, Accra Academy, Osu Presec, Kinbu SHS, WASS, Nungua SHS and several others.

Organisers say each of the invited schools will have their representatives performing and some of the names that have come up include Undrankee, Zidor, Doncash, Addi Self and Marince.
