Abubakari Damba Offers To Settle Dispute Between Adam Kwarasey And Ghana Goalkeeper’s Trainer

Abubakari Damba has offered himself to settle the dispute between Adam Kwarasey and Ghana’s goalkeeper’s trainer Nassam Yakubu to facilitate the return of the former Stromsgodset captain to the Black Stars.

Kwarasey has refused to return to the Black Stars over concerns about what is believed to be a strained working relationship with Nassam Yakubu.

The 26-year-old openly criticized the goalkeeper’s trainer in the wake of Ghana’s shambolic campaign at the 2014 World Cup.

Kwarasey feels he is not given a genuine and fair chance to become the undisputed first choice goalkeeper for the Black Stars.

His absence has left the Black Stars thin on quality in the Ghana goalkeeping department with two of the three called up for this month’s 2015 AFCON qualifiers yet to play competitively this season.

Former Ghana goalkeeper Abubakari Damba now wants to use his close ties with the family of Kwarasey to play a mediatory role in settling the dispute.

“I’m going to Tamale and I will make sure I speak to the father on these growing unfortunate incidents that are going on,” Damba told Happy FM.

“I’m very close to the family [of Kwarasey] and so I will indeed have a chat with the father.

“For me, I think that the technical team of the Black Stars failed to man-manage the team very well and that is where it all started from.”

Razak Brimah appears to be the overwhelming favourite to keep the Ghana post for the games against Uganda and Togo since he is the only person within the goalkeeping department to play regular competitive football this season.

The others; Fatau Dauda and Stephen Adams have been affected by the delayed start of the Ghana Premier League due to a court action against the Ghana FA by relegated King Faisal.
