A Revolution Has To Take Place In NPP… We Can Lend To Them Gen. Mosquito

Member of the Communication Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region has asked the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to give way to the youth in the party.

Reacting to the party calendar of the NPP and how its members are already ‘rushing’ for various positions, Allotey Jacobs said majority of the leaders in NPP “are full of old men who are running affairs. They are outmoded as far as politics is concerned and there is nothing new that can come out of them…they should give chance to the youth”

Allotey Jacobs said in a panel discussion on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ that there should be ‘an emergence’ of a new group of youthful people in the NPP so that they can match up to the NDC; ‘who are filled with young, strong people’

According to him, the NDC faced similar challenges in the past but by the help of people like the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, popularly known as General Mosquito, young people were introduced, adding, “we can lend Gen Mosquito to the NPP to transform the party”.

“There is a new phase that has emerged on our political landscape and so NPP needs to reform itself…a revolution has to take place in the party with an emergence of new faces especially the youth to shake up and handle its affairs” the former board member of ECG (Electricity Company of Ghana) said.
